A wedding shouldn’t feel like a photoshoot, yes we will be taking photos, but its about connection, love, and the people in your life that matter.

A wedding is more than a photoshoot

Weddings are periods of transformation. Our lives are filled with transformative times, that signify a passage into the next season, the next chapter. For this reason and many more, a wedding is more than a photoshoot. There are almost as many approaches to weddings as there are wedding photographers in the world. And ours is specific to us. We believe that a wedding day should be captured with authenticity and emotion. We care about the moments that go unnoticed, we want to hold your most precious memories from this day and transform them into a format that allows you to keep them for a long long time. For some, it’ll be longer than memory can serve. And in this way, it becomes history. Family history. Our books are full of family histories, in truth most of history is the retelling of a story of a family, a generation, a village, a people, a tribe, and the way they function together.

Your story and the story of your family is part of the bigger picture of the world. And want to tell that story.

One of the most common things we hear from clients is that they are awkward and take terrible photos. Well, we’re here to tell you, you aren’t awkward, you’ve just had awkward photos taken. Almost all of our couples have said the same thing, so if you like our photos, we’re sure you’ll like the ones we get of you!

Questions

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

Absolutely! We will travel literally anywhere for a wedding, we love traveling and discovering new places. If you are having a destination wedding, we’d love to come along for the adventure and document the entire thing.

Can we meet before we book?

We actually prefer meeting potential clients in person or over a call in order to get to know them on a more personal level before the wedding day, this is also why we include an engagement session in some of your packages. If meeting in person doesn’t work we can also do a skype or facetime meeting.

Will all the photos be edited?

Absolutely. We go through and edit each and every photo individually. When you download your photos from our online gallery, you can choose web sized for social media, etc. or High res for printing or just storing for the future.

Do you shoot film?

Yes! You can usually find Ben with at least two film cameras around his neck, and likely a few more in his bag ready to go. While we don’t have a specific number of film photos we deliver, we typically shoot at least a few rolls at a wedding, sometimes more.

DO YOU STILL TAKE POSED FAMILY PHOTOS?

Of course! While we consider ourselves documentary photographers, we definitely still do posed family photos. These are actually some of the most important photos we will take at your wedding, believe or not. Family photos are those image that you look back on decades from now with grandchildren, going figuring out who each person is, how they looked when they were younger, reminiscing on old times. We absolutely love capturing family photos.

How many photos do we get?

Every wedding is different, so because of this we don’t have a set limit on how many photos we deliver, but, you will always receive the best of the best, we hold nothing back. If you REALLY need a number, it generally comes out to about 75 photos per hour, so for an 8 hour wedding you’re likely to get about 600 photos. But again, it all depends on the day. We can also hook you up with a Client Gallery so you can see a full wedding.

How & when will we get our photos?

All photos are delivered through our online gallery where you can download and share with friends and family. You also have the ability to order prints, albums, frames, and all kinds of cool stuff to hang on your walls. Wedding photos are typically delivered 6-8 weeks after the wedding day, however, we will send a few sneak peeks a day or two after your wedding day so you have something to share to the gram!

Who will our photographers be?

We (Ben & Katya) will be your photographers. We do everything together, it’s sorta why we do this. From the first meeting, to the engagement session, to your wedding day, you’ve got us both. Of course things happen, so there is always a chance one of us may become sick, or injured to a point where we can’t work, in those instances we have back up photographers to step in. But we always make every effort to both be part of your day. In the 5 years that we have been doing this together, we have never missed a wedding, but in the unlikely chance it occurs, we have you covered.

4. Time To Plan

Before your wedding day we will set up a time to nail down your timeline. If you’d like we can also link up with your other vendors to make sure we’re all on the same page. We want to ensure your day is a s stress free as possible.

2. Connect

We will set up a time to chat so we can discuss all the details of your day, how you envision it, and how we can serve you best.

5. Let’s Get The Party Started

Our goal on the day of is to capture you as you are, to be as an unobtrusive observer amongst your guests. We want you to relive the day through your photos, to see moments again, or maybe even the first time.

3. Reach Out

If you feel like this is a good fit and you’re ready to move forward, just sign the contract and pay the booking fee. We’re good to go!

6. Preserving The Memories

The day after your wedding we will send over a few sneak peeks, then 6-8 week after the day we will send out the whole gallery. From there you can order prints, purchase an album, or getting framed photos. The best way to relive the day is with tangible products you can see daily.
