Trisha + Adam | Illinois Backyard Wedding

Trisha and Adam tied the knot in Adam’s parents backyard in Mahomet, IL (about 2 hours south of Chicago). The day started out with rain, luckily they planned ahead and rented a huge tent to house the ceremony and reception. We ventured out in the rain for their first look equipped with umbrellas and plastic bags on our cameras. By the end of the ceremony the rain had cleared and we were able to capture some more photos in the beautiful green of Adam’s parents backyard.
For the reception, Trisha built, BY HAND, wooden tables for the guests to sit at, they were beautiful and to be honest, we’re upset we didn’t take one with us (they offered, we weren’t going to steal it, promise). Being the science teacher she is, the whole reception was decorated in a science theme. The table numbers were periodic elements, and the center pieces were beakers. Instead of the traditional candle lighting or sand ceremony, Trisha created a chemical reaction that, when poured, the clear liquid became pink.
Their wedding day was definitely a unique one and we loved every minute of it.
