La Crosse Engagement Session

March 18, 2019

We headed up to La Crosse to catch some of the amazing views from the bluffs with Taylor and Jared. Having never explored the area, Katya and I just googled “bluffs in La Crosse” haha. We found Miller Bluff Lookout and really liked the views, so we sent the coordinates to Taylor and Jared and hoped for the best. Google had us going to a cul-de-sac at the end of a random neighborhood, so we started to get a little concerned it wasn’t the right spot, but once we arrived we noticed a sign marking the trail, so all was good.

The hike started off a little sketchy with lots of ice along the trail, I really felt bad for Taylor who was wearing heels, the whole time hoping she didn’t hate use for making her hike through this ice and mud. After what seemed like a lifetime, we arrived at the bluff, the view was amazing, it overlooked the entire city. We grabbed some photos and headed to the second bluff (I think this one was the actual Miller Bluff). On the way Katya spotted a Birch tree, Russians LOVE Birch trees, so we of course got some shots near it. To be honest, I think they are our favorites. After the Birch tree we headed to the edge of the bluff to get a few drone shots and then headed back down the trail to explore. After getting lost for a few minutes we finally arrived back at the icy trail we first set out on.

We can’t wait to meet up with Taylor and Jared in May for their big day!
