The past two wedding seasons have brought a lot of intensity. Our sweet couples and families have been more resilient than ever, more creative than ever, and more inspired than ever before. We were privy to April and BJ’s ceremony last year and this year we were honored to witness their reception. This first dance, usually reserved for the wedding couple only, they shared with their brother and sister in law, since due to CoVid19 they weren’t able to have a true first dance at their wedding either. The evening was filled with warmth and the love was evident in every smile, every gesture, every word and shared embrace. The guests enjoyed what looked like one of their first outings since the pandemic hit and the deliciousness of sharing moments together truly decorated this evening in all the ways it always deserved.

One of the main reasons we love capturing weddings

One of the main reasons we love capturing weddings are those little moments that happen when no one is really paying attention. Katya calls them “moments of calm”. And that’s when some of the most genuine moments are born. Of course everyone loves the first kiss, the walking down the aisle shot, the “grandparent pose” where the couple hold hands and look into the camera. But these moments are what keep us going. They give us life. They make us feel like we have a purpose. Because these moments to us are what the day is all about. Two people in love, no matter what is happening in the world around them.
